SUNTA invites nominations for the 2018 Senior Scholar/Lifetime Award in Urban, National, Transnational/Global Anthropology. This award recognizes an outstanding academic with regard to his or her scholarly publications, teaching, mentoring, service to urban, national and transnational anthropology, and contributions to public debates. An award of $250 will be offered to the winner. Please send a nomination packet including a letter of nomination, the nominee’s CV, and two letters of support from the nominee’s students or scholarly peers to committee chair Jayne Howell at jayne.howell@csulb.edu.
No nominations can be accepted after 1 July 2018. The awardee will be honored at the 2018 AAA meeting in San Jose, and give a brief presentation at the SUNTA business meeting.
